Ten deaf professionals visited our school to deliver inspiring workshops sharing all about their job role, their journey and their skills.
In our first event of its kind we invited deaf professionals to the school to deliver their workshops sharing all about their job role, their journey and their skills. They were employed in a range of jobs: an architect, a builder, an electrician, a forensic police officer, youth workers, a specialist equipment supplier, a cake decorator, an actor/drama specialist and also TV’s Punk Chef. Our learners enjoyed a range of presentations and hands-on demonstrations. The day offered a great opportunity for our deaf students to be inspired and open their eyes to the wide world of employment and what can be achieved if they work hard and stay focused on their education.’
A big thanks to our visitors who braved the snow to provide a memorable experience for our students. And a big thanks to our Careers team for organising it.
